2021 has not seen any shortage of talent and award worthy content. See who will be receiving this year's highest honor at the annual Indie Fashion Gala:

Rico King


Rico King is an established model, actor, songwriter, dancer and producer. He has walked the runway for designer Ean Williams for Corjor International Couture and designers from the Ukraine and Nigeria in DC Fashion Week, Other runway shows include designers Steven Wall for Nevetes Couture and designer Adrianna Marie for her Frequency line (Dec 2011-2013), Designer Bradley Douglas Jordan (2014 BKFW), and April Walker for Walker Wear.

He has been featured on network TV shows such Deadly Affairs hosted by Susan Lucci for the Discovery I.D channel, The Carrie Diaries, Law and Order SVU (NBC network), "Unfaithful" on Oprah's Winfrey's OWN network "Deceived" on TV one network, "Brain games" on Nat Geo Channel and the list goes on.

Sergio Delavicci


Internationally recognized SAG/AFTRA actor, motivational speaker, professional athlete, model, philanthropist, and humanitarian known for his role in films such as John Wick 3, Creed 2, The Post, and You Were Never Really Here. 

Delavicci’s diverse career repertoire crosses over into fashion having walked for major runway shows such as New York Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Style, Men's Fashion Week, Miami Swimwear Fashion Week, NOLCHA Shows, Society Fashion Week, Couture Fashion Week and more.

In his ongoing humanitarian efforts, Delavicci is passionate about giving back to the community working with at-risk youths, prisons, women empowerment groups, and motivating the next generation. He is also involved in the "Real Men Read Initiative," where prominent men are invited to read at NYC schools to promote literacy. Sergio’s giving back initiatives extend to working closely with organizations such as YWCA-NYC, Project Avary an organization that meets the unique emotional needs of children with a parent who is incarcerated, Children’s Village, Bowery Mission and The Relief Program helping those who are in need.

Jerri Reid


Jerri Reid is a renowned New York City based brand that provides versatility to their timeless clientele. The 8-year-old brand's mission is to merge femininity and masculinity to provide versatile clothing for all genders, sexualities and the human race. 

Even in the midst of a global pandemic, Jerri Reid was resilient with providing innovation and creativity in the streets of SOHO. Being the first for a creative director to design, model, and produce a virtual show.

Kenya Smith - Planet Zero Motorsports


Planet Zero Motorsports, LLC is a New York based Motorsports Company that focuses on innovative motorcycle equipment and apparel. The company was born out of the love for high speed racing motorcycles. The mission of PZM is to assure that everyone who participates in motorsports consistently wear the protective equipment needed to perform the sport and provide maximum protection for the rider. PZM wants to bend the line between equipment and stylish wear while raising awareness of the need to have top rated protection while riding a motorcycle. 

Kenya Smith  is the winner of the 2015 Designer of the Year Competition from FASHION AVE NEWS MAGAZINE. He is the winner of Independent Fashion Calendar as Best Male Ready to wear designer 2019. He is a featured emerging designer with NOLCHA Fashion week and a designer with SMALL BOUTIQUE FASHION WEEK.

Stevie Edwards 


Stevie Edwards is a Fashion Designer-one shouldn’t  underestimate. His collections have been showcased in NYFW,LAFW and Urban Fashion Week in Miami. He’s dressed celebrities such as Tiffany Haddish, Diana Ross, Jody Watley, LisaRaye and Terisa Griffin just to name a few. He has been featured in editorial publications such as WWD, Vogue,GQ, Harpers Bazzar Ebony,W, Hyde Park Herald, Miami Herald, Chicago Defender and CIE Fashion Magazine.

After working as an assistant with some of Chicago’s notable designers like, Barbara Bates, Keith Kendall and Reginald Thomas, in 2008 Stevie launched his Women brand “I Luv Stevie”, which is a combination of one of a kind sexy, cutting edge clothes for the fashion forward upscale women. Stevie will debut his Mens Collection for A/W 2020 at LAFW.


Making history receiving a Full page editorial in Womens Wear Daily , labeled the new ‘It” Designer in Vogue Magazine October’s issue. A full page Ad in GQ Dec/Jan Issue and also a full spread in Harpers Bazaar March 21 Issue. Stevie will be the first Black Designer locally to feature his Collection in a full Page Ad and nationally, there hasn’t been a black Designer seen in these high fashion magazines displaying there Collections or even received this much press since the 80’s with Black Designers such as Willi Smith, Patrick Kelly or Stephen Burrows. Diva Davanna 


Diva Davanna is an American model, community activist and entrepreneur born in Jersey City, New Jersey. She began her career appearing as a child model for JuJu Models (Macy's/print) and years of local runway shows all before gaining prominence for her appearance on the Tyra Banks talk show (2009) as a YouTube cyber celebrity star. She was then invited back as a guest on Americas Next Top Model cycle 13 (2010) to offer some runway tips to the contestants along side Miss J. Alexander.


Davanna began to make a name for herself being noticed by celebrity insiders like the Iconic Naomi Campbell calling Davanna her "Mini Me". Propelling Davanna's career to an even higher standard appearing in High Fashion runway shows like (Mercedes Benz FW, Virgin Island FW, NYFW/Spring Studios) just to name a few. 

Davanna has been featured in several magazines: Sheen Magazine, Vestal Magazine, Hype Hair Magazine, Fashion Haunts Magazine, Teen Fashion Magazine, Razors Edge Fashion Magazine, Fashion Paper Magazine.  


Davanna has since made several television appearances with a walk on roll for FX show POSE as a ballroom walker. Background rolls to include: Manifest, Power, FX/Pose and HBO Max Legendary.  


Besides modeling and acting, she is a community activist giving back to her community with: Davanna's Back to School Giveback (est 2012) and Pillows 4 Change, est 2016(making & donating pillows to the homeless and women's shelters). She has written a book(The Importance of Being Prepared for School) and launched her own clothing brand (Diva D'Luxe by Davanna).

Saiyd Muhammed and Smiley Jonez are the self taught designers of Burning Guitars and they are firm believers in breaking the rules and following your heart when designing clothing. Saiyd has been designing clothes for your music super stars, professional athletes, actors, professional comedians for over 35 years.
