Teyana Taylor is set to become Creative Director at UK-based retailer, Pretty Little Thing. She recently revealed the upcoming venture in her 30th birthday post caption on Instagram. The musician, choreographer, and model shared her excitement for the New Year stating ‘What a way to bring some positive vibes and more #blackgirlmagic into 2021!’.

Having had a sponsored ad partnership with the brand previously, she’s familiar with the site’s prominence in the fast fashion world. The multifaceted creative sees this as an opportunity to develop the entrepreneur she’s always been; sharing with People Magazine, ‘I knew I would venture into fashion...my goal was always to be a mogul’.

When asked about her vision for the brand, Taylor said she wants to enhance its existing beauty whilst welcoming the challenges that come with style diversity. Many imagine the garments to directly reflect her personal style, she plans to take it even further. Signature denim looks, color palate play, and cut-out bodycon looks are to come. The collection was fully designed via Zoom throughout quarantine and is scheduled to roll out in January.
